In a viral Facebook post, Texas Sheriff Tracey Murphee laid out why this UK attack needs to be a wake up call for Americans before it’s too late.
Let’s remember that if Hillary Clinton were to have won, her plan to increase poorly vetted Islamic refugees 550% would already be in action.
Because she didn’t, America has a change to NOT be the terror hotbed Europe already is
Denton County, Texas Sheriff Tracy Murphree harshly condemned the Manchester bombing, and didn’t shy away from decrying Islamic terrorism and his thoughts that it was the root of the Manchester Arena massacre.
Murphree vented his frustrations on Facebook Monday night where he warned America not to make mistakes that could put the country in harm’s way.
Murphree’s statement read:
Pay attention to what you see in Manchester England tonight.
Pay attention to what is happening in Europe.
This is what happens when you disarm your citizens. When you open your borders without the proper vetting.
When you allow political correctness to dictate how you respond to an enemy that wants to kill you. When you allow these radicals to travel to Afghanistan and Iran and simply let them back in. When you give up your city’s [sic] and your neighborhoods to a religious ideology that says you must convert or die. A ideology that treats women as property, kills gays and women and christians [sic] with complete impunity.
The left tells us we must submit and accept these radical beliefs and bend over backwards to make sure we don’t hurt anybody’s feelings. The left wants to cater to the very group that would kill every group they claim to support. Folks this is an enemy hell bent on killing you.
Committed to forcing you to convert or die. This enemy will strap bombs to their own body and blow themselves up killing children.
I’m sick of it. You better wake up America. While you are distracted by the media and the crying of the left, Islamic Jihadist are among us and want to kill you.
What will it take? This happening at a concert in Dallas or a school in Denton County?
If we don’t do something quick this country will die of political correctness and the fear that someone’s feelings may be hurt. It may very well be to [sic] late for Europe.
When contacted later Tuesday by 1080 KRLD’s Cameron Fairchild, Murphree, despite receiving some criticism, didn’t back down from what he had written on Facebook.
“I’m just sick and tired of kids dying around the world. When you’re chastised and called names because you use the words radical Islamic terrorism. It baffles me. when I made that post I thought everyone knew that radical Islamic terrorism was a problem in the world.”
At the time of Murphree’s post, nothing was known about the person behind the attack… only that he was a suspected suicide bomber.
ISIS hadn’t even taken responsibility for the attack until Tuesday morning.
Many details about the bomber and and his link to ISIS are still unknown.
Denton resident Heath Mitchell said regarding the Sheriff’s comments, “He probably needs to get this facts straight a little bit more before he makes comments like that.”
“I’m an elected official. I ran on a conservative, republican platform, so I don’t think it should be any surprise to anyone,” Murphree told CBS11.
The sheriff had plenty of support online, with more than 1,000 likes.
His Facebook critics also called him out for another controversial comment Murphree made.
In 2016, when he was a candidate for the sheriff, he said transgender men who identify as women and use the women’s bathroom should end up in the hospital. A comment he later apologized for.
Murphree said voters in Denton are the only ones he has to answer to.
